Motels sur Mer

06/08
Camera type: Holga 120 CFN
Film type: Kodak Portra NC 400 ISO / Kodak E100 VS

Here is a Motel Sign Series that I took last June on my way to Rimouski, Québec. I wanted to do this kind of series for a long time and there it is. The first photo on top was shot with positive film, it was my first time trying out positive with the Holga. It turned out pretty well, I never would have thought that it would. I still prefer my good old Kodak Portra, The results and colours are far more close to what I like ahestelicly.

I really like this motel series. There's a dated-yet-timeless quality to the shots, it's like they could have been taken in the 40s or 50s or 60s or 70s. Something about the colour saturation, maybe? Anyway, very cool!
